Community volunteerism has been a part of credit union DNA since the movement’s founding. In recent years, however, a growing number of cooperatives have worked together to coordinate their efforts. While individual credit unions that plan a Day of Service decide the best way to make the biggest impact on their local markets and members, the ultimate goal is to motivate all credit unions to participate in a nationwide Day of Service.
